Teijo Makerspace is educational makerspace, that holds weekly courses for adults and kids. Also there is regularly updating training sessions for K12 technology teachers around Finland and Europe. These sessions focus on STEAM and Maker education. Upcoming courses are listed below.

You can also come to Open Day mondays to work on your own projects with hourly rate. See below for more information.

Teijo Makerspace is 200m2 workshop, where you can use machinery for metal- and woodworking and more high-tech machines, like lasercutter, 3D-printing and CNC-router.

HIGH TECH
– 3D printers, FFF, single hotend. Work area: 200*200*200mm.
– Edulaser M900 lasercutter, Co2, 100W, work area: 600*900mm
– Roland GS-24 vinyl cutter, work width 600mm
– EduCNC CNC-router, single toolhead, work area: 600*900mm

METAL WORKING
– Welding/grinding room

WOODWORKING
– CMT statinary circular saw, cast iron 400V
– CMT jointer / planer, cast iron, 400V, work width 400mm
– Band saw, cast iron, 400V, work width 1200mm

– Makita miter saw, 240V, max cut: 90*275m
– Dics sander, stationary, cast iron, 400V
– woodworking table with vises

– 18V system battery tools: drills, saws, cutters, sanders etc.

OPEN DAY MONDAYS

Open days every Monday STARTS AGAIN 16th September!

You are welcome to work on your own projects at the workshop every monday! Check weekly timetables at the end of the front page, wheres Instagram-feed or @makerspaceman at Instagram.

Hour taxes are definded by tools you need for project. First hour always is +5€.

Prices:
Handtools and hand-held power tools = 10€/h.
Statinary power tools = 15€/h
Lasercutter, 3D-printer, vinylcutter, CNC = 20€/h

+ materials, if you dont use your own.

Longer 3D-prints pricing: 25€ first hour, + 5€/2h. (includes PLA filament, extra price for different materials)

There´s weekly courses for tech-hobbyists on mondays made co-operation with Salo Kansalaisopisto

Teacher training courses

These courses are targeted for K12 teachers in Finland and focus for STEAM / Maker education. Courses last for two days and are located at Teijo Makerspace. It’s possible to book also accomodation during classes at Kirjakkalan ruukkikylä.
